Anyone know where he got that hole saw at? I'm always working with 3/8 structural steel and these bimetals just dont hold out long.

Wow man! Your build is awesome, like you bought it from the store! And to have it certified, and a stamp of approval from the weld maestro himself to boot! Well done, sir, well done.

Most positioners don't go slow enough. If you wanna polish your welded rounds just use one of your lathes.

a foot pedal that worked like your 10 turn pot would be great, stop at level, speed forward tipped fwd and speed up reverse tilted back.

really tidy job , well planned and well executed , a simple xlr connection for a footswitch would finish the job to perfection.

Maybe build a linear weld table as well? 🤔

A 12V wiper motor with an adjustable reostat would work for small jobs.
I agree with the reason to earth via the shaft but it will not do anything any good long term, and it will fall off often.

Not understanding something: The tig ground was clamped onto the end of the turn table’s shaft? ie a shaft that rotates the table?

i'd say the 260+ dis-likes on this video are manufacturers of Rotary Weld Tables.
Fabulous job on the design, build and finished product. Not to mention the great video production. Man of many talents.

Maybe a T.I.G. foot pedal with the right value rheostat installed to suit your turn table controls. Start-Speed control and -Stop. Which would make you as talented as a Rock drummer. Having both hands and both feet busy.

Hi, Tony! I saw your rotary table and I have a idea for you. Once I made a big rotary welding table for production robot which can carry heavy loads, approx 10 000 kg. I used three carbon brushes there.
Carbon brush you can see here, I made a 3d model of it.

One question related to shoot weld video clear, visible beads, liquid paddle, etc, how do you shoot your welding videos? Is your camera behind a ND, black glass, welding helmet glass, could you please spend a few words about? Thanks again for your really helpful video, really appreciated!

Big spring loaded carbon brush fir the ground contact would be a cool feature, although a thermometer and a base plate preheater will give better aluminum weld consistency

You're way better at all this stuff than I am and I understand why you welded the two halves together, but as a mechanic, I was thinking, "I would have welded ears or a piece of angle iron along there and used fasteners", just to allow access for repairs. Before I went into tool design I always wondered why those assholes at the car companies always made stuff so damn hard to get at so I'm naturally always looking to design in as much work space and or accessibility into something I'm building. The box came out great though and I suppose you have enough space to get things out if you had to. Beautiful work and Great vid! I'm really enjoying watching all your videos. I have an old, (REALLY OLD) lathe and one of those old crappy Chinese bench top style milling machines. I could be doing a lot with them but they mostly sit under tarps while I'm wrenching on other peoples junky, crappy, rusty, old cars. I want to get away from trying to earn money fixing cars, after my third back surgery I won't be able to do it much anymore anyway. Making stuff on machines would be a great step away from wrenching.

Tell me This, (if you were in Australia we'd shorten or lengthen your first name to Thiso or Thista or Thi) - what is the name of the "depth/marking" gauge you used at 15.15 min you mentioned in another vid it was calibrated for unit increments - vernier caliper style.
If your busy making more delicious epic eye candy and I'm talking to an empty house maybe one of your loyal and intelligent subbies may be able to help me out.
